Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games
From 4-15 April 2018, the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) will offer 11 unforgettable days of world class sporting competition. More than 6600 athletes and team offcials from 70 nations and territories will come to Australia for GC2018.
The Games are being delivered by the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC), together with the Queensland Government, City of Gold Coast (CGC) and other Games Delivery Partners.
The Queensland Government is committed to working with Games partners to plan, organise and deliver a great Games in 2018, with lasting economic and community benefits for Queensland.
Through the Office of Commonwealth games, DTESB will:
- Deliver the capital program for the development and construction of GC2018 venues; the Reconciliation Action Plan; the Embracing 2018 Legacy program; an Arts and Culture program; a portfolio assurance and reporting framework; and integration and oversight of GC2018 activities including implementation of the State Protocol Plan.
- Connect Queensland businesses with opportunities to provide goods and services to GC2018 through the Business Queensland (Business and Industry Portal).
- Inspire healthy and active lifestyle initiatives through the Embracing 2018 Legacy program.
