Our Graduate Program
The Greater Graduate Program provides university graduates with opportunities across six Queensland Government departments, including the Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games (DTESB).
Who we are looking for
The department's requirements vary each year depending on the needs of our business.
For the 2016 program we are seeking graduates for the following opportunity:
Graduate corporate officer
Business systems, communications, economics, electronic business, international business, languages, politics and government, public policy and tourism and events
To be eligible for our 2016 program, applicants must be:
- an Australian citizen or permanent resident at the time of submitting your application, or
- a New Zealand citizen who is currently residing in Australia, and
- completing your university qualification by December 2015 or have completed your university qualification within the past 2 years (since December 2013). Please see disciplines as listed above.
If you hold overseas qualifications you will need to provide your assessment from Overseas Qualifications Services with your application.
How to apply
If you would like to be considered for the 2016 Greater Graduate Program, you need to have registered your details in the Queensland Government Graduate Portal by 4pm, Friday 25th September 2015. If you have already registered your details in the Portal this year, there is no need to register again.
Candidates are initially assessed based on their eligibility to participate in the 2016 program; that is your completed registration, qualification types and completion date, qualification discipline, and your right to work in Australia.
Eligible candidates will receive an email from the Greater Graduate Program Coordinators by 2nd October 2015, with further details on the position and instructions on how to formally apply for the 2016 program.
